The Staff Senate Benefits, Policies and Development Committee will maintain an on-going study to determine the needs of the classified and professional/unclassified staff; review and make recommendations regarding policies pertaining to conditions of employment, employment grievances, promotion, leave, compensation, insurance, retirement, and other fringe benefits affecting the welfare of the LSU employees and their dependents. The Benefits and Policies Committee will consider all matters brought to the Committee's attention by the Staff Senate and/or the University administration. All external communications produced by this Committee shall be approved by the President.
• In conjunction with the Student Health Center, Recreational Sports, and Human Resource Management, this Committee will continue working to implement campus-wide employee wellness programs.
• Monitor and promote Crisis Leave policies and usage.
This committee meets the fourth Monday of every month at 1:00 p.m.
