This invention is a new type of scaffolding material for bone regeneration. The material is inexpensive and has high strength and stiffness. In addition, it promotes the growth of osteoblasts that help form bone tissue and minimizes the osteoclasts that destroy it. The material can be prepared using heat and does not require further chemical modification. In vitro studies on mouse cells have been performed to test formulation and physical properties.
