Description:
This new invention is a mechanical seal modification that lowers the amount of heat generated on the seal’s face. A modified seal will have reduced wear, friction, and seal temperature which helps prevent common problems like hot spotting, heat checking, seal cracking, and fluid flashing. The seal easily fits into existing machines and does not require a change to the flush system or gland design. The design can be applied to any material, including ceramics, and can even be applied to coated surfaces.
