Federal Legislation
The OIPCD protects the rights of the inventors, federal funding agencies and LSU by acting in compliance with LSU System Bylaws and Policies for Intellectual Property as well as with federal legislation and guidelines including but not limited to the Bayh-Dole Act (PL 96-517), the Trademark Clarification Act of 1984 (PL 98-620), the Federal Technology Transfer Act of 1986 (PL 99-502) and reporting of inventions to the U.S. Government as specified in 35 USC Section 202.
