Welcome to Louisiana State University's Office of Intellectual Property, Commercialization & Development website. Our mission is to effectively commercialize inventions and discoveries emerging from research and other scholarly activities conducted at this great University. We act as a bridge between the University research community and commercialization partners to facilitate the transfer of intellectual property created at LSU.  This mission supports LSU’s goal of maximizing its impact on the intellectual, economic, and social development of Louisiana and beyond – an aim of the University’s  Flagship 2020 Agenda.

This comprehensive website is meant to serve both the faculty and staff of the University, and those outside the LSU community. OIPCD strives to identify, protect, and commercialize the ideas, inventions, and discoveries of LSU faculty, students, and staff by supporting LSU researchers and businesses through every step of the technology transfer process.  I urge every LSU employee involved in research and businesses interested in licensing LSU's technologies to review and to familiarize himself with the disclosure, patenting, and commercialization policies of the University. The OIPCD staff is available to answer any questions you may have concerning technology transfer issues via telephone, email, or in person.

Sincerely,

Andrew J. Maas
