Dining

Lunch is not offered during Transfer Orientation.  There are a number of dining options available on and off campus.

Housing

Unfortunately, campus residence halls will not be open for students to stay in during Fall Transfer Orientation Session #1.

If you are attending Transfer Orientation - Session 2 and you have a fall 2013 housing assignment, you may check-in on Wednesday, August 21 at any time.  You do not need to do anything further to secure permission to arrive early; all students attending Transfer Orientation - Session 2 with a fall assignment will be allowed to check in.  Check in at the front desk for your fall assignment.   Your Transfer Orientation registration costs do not include any housing fees.  You will be charged starting on the day you pick up your key.  A charge of $26.25 (tentative cost) per night through August 22 will be applied to your student account after the first day of class.  You will have been officially checked in for the semester and therefore will not be permitted to check-out of your assignment or return your key at the conclusion of Transfer Orientation.

There is one option for on campus lodging and several major hotel chains conveniently located near the LSU campus. Special room rates may be available for those participating in orientation programs at LSU. For reservations or additional information, contact the hotel of your choice. Please note that some hotels/motels will not reserve rooms for persons under the age of 21.  Please be sure to inquire about this stipulation if you are a student under the age of 21 and are travelling without a parent or family member. You are advised to make reservations early. Please use the code listed below the telephone number when making reservations. The Office of Orientation nor the hotels can guarantee rooms will be available. The listed price does not include tax.
