WBBJ/ABC and CBS, 7 Eyewitness News, West Tennessee’s News Channel has an immediate opening for an interactive web producer.
WBBJ, located between Nashville and Memphis, is the dominant regional news operation in the West Tennessee market.
The successful candidate must be an aggressive tech-savvy journalist with excellent command of the English language (spelling, grammar, punctuation). The web producer is responsible for publishing daily news, breaking news and video on multiple platforms including web, mobile, Twitter, Facebook, and television.
We’re looking for a competitive and aggressive journalist who will react to and post breaking news quickly and accurately. This position is self-directed to generate, research, and write original stories. The candidate must be able to perform during high-pressure situations.
Description of Duties
• Quickly write and post general and breaking news stories
• Excellent spelling and attention to detail is a must
• Use social media to drive viewers to the station’s website
• Use solid news judgment to gather content from local, regional, national, and international sources to post newsworthy content
• Post images and video to coordinate with web stories
• Mentor young journalists
• Other news duties as assigned including producing for broadcast television
Minimum requirements
• A four year degree in broadcast journalism or related field is preferred
• Strong writing and editorial skills and knowledge of AP style
• Journalistic integrity and a strong work ethic are requirements
• Knowledge of Google DFP, Photoshop, and other web posting software are a big plus, along with computer code writing experience
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays is needed

Position Summary:
The Media Assistant will be responsible for regulating, modifying, and auditing traditional media schedules. The Media Assistant will also maintain a presence with media reps to ensure schedules run smoothly.
Essential Duties:

Membership & Events Coordinator

Position Description Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo (FOZ) membership program including maintenance of the FOZ database, supervision of sales staff, membership mailings, and processing memberships. Facilitates planning, preparation and implementation of the Zoo’s established signature events as well as researching potential new events. Creates and maintains on a daily basis the Zoo’s social media presence including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Flickr.
DUTIES:
1. Responsible for new and renewed membership procurement and processing, including, but not limited to, assembling and mailing membership packets; reconciling applications with deposits, and making bank deposits
