 | The School of Education requires students to have a 2.50 GPA (Cumulative and LSU) to enter the Teacher Education Program. PK-3 students also finish all pre-requisite courses and complete an interview. Students must also have passing scores on the PRAXIS I, or an official ACT/SAT composite score of 22/1030 or higher on record with LSU. |
PK-3 Teacher Education students should follow the suggested curriculum path below.
To apply for student teaching, the application must be made to the Office of Student Services no later than three weeks following the first day of school in the semester prior to student teaching. Late applicants cannot be guaranteed consideration.
The School of Education requires graduates to complete the program with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on all work taken, cumulative and LSU. Students must also pass all required sections of the PRAXIS series or meet PRAXIS I waiver requirements and earn a grade of "C" or higher on all course work.
