The School of Education offers the following degrees with a specialization in Educational Leadership:
| Master of Arts (M.A.) | The Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership, Research and Counseling with a specialization in Educational Research Methodology (ERM) consists of a minimum of 37 hours. At least one-half of the minimum credit hours must be in courses at or above the 7000 level. Students must also take and pass a Comprehensive Examination. | Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) | The Certificate of Education Specialist (Ed.S.) program with a specialization in Educational Research Methodology provides in-depth opportunities for further professional growth and specialization for persons who have completed the master’s degree. A minimum of 60 hours of graduate credit—which may include the master’s degree—is required. | |
| Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) | The Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Research with a concentration in P-12 educational leadership prepares scholars and leaders in the field of educational research methodology. The Ph.D. is a research degree; thus students are expected to engage in and present research while completing the degree. Most students work full time while taking courses and complete the degree in 4-6 years. |
