Graduate Programs in English Education
The School of Education offers the following graduate programs with a specialization in English Education:
| Master of Education (M.Ed.) | The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in English Education is designed to advance the knowledge base of certified teachers. This program requires 36 hours of credit at the graduate level. | Certificate of Education Specialist (Ed.S.) | The Certificate of Education Specialist (Ed.S.) program with a specialization in English Education is intended primarily for teachers. This program provides in-depth opportunities for further professional growth and specialization for persons who have completed the master’s degree. | Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) | The Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in English Education prepares scholars and leaders in the field. The Ph.D. is a research degree; thus students are expected to engage in and present research while completing the degree.
