Janet Kirshner received her M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Louisiana State University in 1988. In 1978 she also received her B.S. in elementary education from LSU. Her interests and areas of expertise include the supervision of student teachers and emerging literacy.

Kirshner is member of the College of Education as an instructor in the Division of Elementary Education in the Department of Educational Theory, Policy, and Practice.

Kirshner’s teaching assignments include supervising student teachers, and teaching the course on Planning, Managing and Evaluating School Instruction.
