Come out on May 14, 2013 at 1:00PM and celebrate the accomplishments of our Graduating LGBTQA Seniors at LSU. This year has seen much growth of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning and Allied/Asexual community at LSU. With that growth, LSU would like to celebrate the graduation of our students who are moving beyond the college years. There will be live music from a local band and inspirational keynotes from speakers including: Laurie Braden, Director of LSU University Recreation and Taylor Cox, current President of Student Government.
If you are graduating this May, Summer 2013, or December 2013 with your Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate, please register here for the ceremony. The ceremony will be taking place in the Royal Cotillion Ballroom of the LSU Student Union at 1:00PM. Please come out and join us. There will be a reception to follow the ceremony at 2:00PM in the Atchafalaya Room of the Union.
This is an open program, so all friends and family of Graduates are invited to attend. To order your Lavender Graduation Stoles, or for any questions, please e-mail Chad Freeman, Graduate Assistant for the LGBTQ Project and Safe Space Campaign at firstname.lastname@example.org.
