To date, the Safe Space Campaign has trained over three hundred students, staff, and faculty in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) issues as well as community groups, local schools, and other universities. We have provided training opportunities on basic LGBTQ issues; how to incorporate issues of sexual orientation; gender identity, and gender expression into higher education courses; how to prevent bullying in K-12 schools; race and sexual orientation; transgender inclusion; and religion, spirituality and sexual orientation; and many other topics.
