Summer Steib is the Director of the LSU Women’s Center. The Women's Center promotes the advancement of women's issues and gender equity through its services, advocacy efforts and educational programs; provides support, referral, and information to students, faculty and staff on issues and concerns related to women; and connects LSU and greater community members with local, state, national and international resources.
In her role as Director, Steib will develop and expand Women’s Center programming, partnerships, and initiatives that support the four goals of Flagship 2020: discovery, learning, diversity and engagement.
Steib is a native of Baton Rouge and holds degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the University of Alabama. She holds a Masters of Arts in Women Studies.
